Everytime you fundraise you acheive two very important things.  You provide additional money for our purpose built new Centre fund, and raise awareness of our presence.  The extra publicity we are able to attract through your fundraising activities gives us a louder voice to speak on behalf of suffering cats, and an opportunity to highlight animal cruelty in Yorkshire and play a role in restoring the special bond between animals and people.  It also underlines the community support for our work and enables us to be even more effective.

Raising money online is a great way to publicise your personal challenge or fundrasising activity/event.  Haworth Cat Rescue is registered on Bmycharity  with The Dove Trust - which means you can choose our charity to benefit from you efforts.  Join a set challenge or create one of your own - and set yourself a £££ target!  You'll have your own webpage so can be sponsored online.

   

You can use digital media to tell your friends about your fundraising activity - facebook, twitter, myspace and the good old email are all great ways to get your friends involved.  Even better, you could undertake a group event with your friends near and far, and have an inter-friend challenge to see who can make the most money for Haworth Cat Rescue!

You can also use a traditional paper sponsor form instead of, or in conjunction with, your online sponsor page.

Families, friends, students, social groups, football teams, youth clubs, work colleagues ......there is no limit, everyone can join in.

The ways in which you can help really are endless, and we've come up with a few ideas and suggestions to suit all ages, abilities and levels of sanity!

Send us your photos and description of your event or sponsored activity, and how much you raised, and we'll post as many as we can on our site.

So, don't delay - when you fundraise we think you really are the cats' whiskers!

    • Car boot sale/table top sale/clothes swop party
    • Office swear box/dress down day/gourmet lunch
    • Pyjama dance/Hat Party/1940s picnic or party/three-legged race 

    Sponsored Activities:

    • Dress up!! As a cat, a clown, in drag.....
    • Walk to and from work every day for a month
    • Set a healthy weight loss target and go for it
    • Set a climbing, walking, biking or swimming challenge
    • Organise a fun run, swimathon or kissathon!
